Basic Life Support (BLS) is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation. Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course. Our courses meet legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards, and include the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
THIS COURSE IS FOR PARTICIPANTS THAT HAVE A CURRENT AND VALID CERTIFICATE THAT NEED THE RENEWAL OF THEIR CERTIFICATION.
Duration: 2 – 3 hours In-Classroom Training
In-Classroom Training Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Audience: In-facility care providers, including nursing staff, health care aides, medical and dental professionals. Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in a fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol.
Pre-Requisite: Current certificate that has NOT expired
Certification Expiry Date: 1 years from the date of certification
